Facilities at the airfield are purposefully kept limited, so as not to impact on the natural beauty of the area. However hire cars and transport can easily be arranged.

Grapes were first grown at Ridgeview Estate in 1996, the property covers about 7.8ha, of which about 3.5ha is planted in grapes. Pinot Gris, is the predominant grape, represents the majority of the vines, wines also produced include Chardonnay, Malbec and Syrah – which are ideally suited to the vineyard’s climate and soils. The vineyard produced its first wine in 1998 and recently the Pinot Gris won a Bronze medal at the Bragato Wine Show
